'Bringing pantomime and comedy shows to Clevedon since 1970...'

Clevedon Comedy Theatre Club are an amateur dramatics society based in Clevedon, performing pantomimes to our audiences for over 40 years!

CCTC as we are known for short, was established in 1970 by founding members: Maureen & Alan Smith; Barbara & Doug Stinchcombe; Frank Chesterman; and Sid Martin.  It all began at a social gathering when the group decided that Clevedon was lacking in the lighter side of theatre, and that they should form a new club.  And so in September 1970, Clevedon Comedy Club was established, and produced their first show: “The Roaring Twenties”.

Two of the founding members are still active in the club today: Maureen Smith with the current club president, whilst Alan Smith is the Vice President and still very active with scenery construction and the upkeep of the club HQ.

CCTC have produced a variety of shows over the years and these can be viewed by clicking the links to the right hands side of this page CCTC produces a pantomime every year in January, and have previously produced a variety of summer shows.

In 2015, the club was re-branded to “Clevedon Comedy Theatre Club”, and work is still on-going to ensure that it remains a fun, friendly, family atmosphere that makes people want to keep coming back for more.

CCTC always welcome new members, either on stage or behind the scenes.  If this is something you are interested in then please get in contact via the “Contact Us” page.
